The Way of the Vesperian
Vesperianism is a spiritual, philosophical, magickal, and religious tradition founded by American occultist Dorian Dremaira. At its core, Vesperianism is centered around the idea of belief in the divine and unholy Truth of Satan, the Adversary, and his transformative power. Vesperians consider themselves a new form of satanic witch, and see the Devil as the long-sought Horned God of Witches. The word "Vesperian" itself is derived from the Latin word "vesperitas," or "Evening Star." This is a reference to the planet Venus, which was also called the "Morning Star" in ancient times. This "star" was the last to be swiped away in the morning by the rays of the sun, but also the first to appear at dusk and herald the coming night. We believe in the Vesper Star as a symbol of the Devil and the many names and faces he takes. ​​​​​​​
The First Vesperian
Vesperianism, while timeless, was first actualized by Dorian, a servant of Lucifer. Dorian was a minister of the Christian faith, known for his understanding of biblical scriptures and ability to teach them to modern peoples. He walked long years in the shadow of the cross, but began to move away from Christianity after his studies led him to discover the horrendous truths of the Christian god. Dorian began to question the very foundation upon which his faith had been built, and eventually forsook the god of his youth.

There came a night Dorian was met with a strange out-of-body-experience (OBE, or "astral projection") wherein he found himself in a strange place resembling the dunes of a dark desert. As he wandered this strange place betwixt the world of the living and the world of spirit, he eventually was greeted by a strange entity in the dunes. This entity wore garments made of a blazing black fire. In one hand it held a golden chalice, and in the other it bore a cluster of ripe fruits. This strange entity greeted Dorian with riddles and sacred words.

The entity squeezed the fruits into the chalice and offered it to Dorian. At first, due to his former Christian convictions, he refused. He continued to have more of these visions, each the same. Finally, one night he agreed and partook of the drink. ​
At first, Dorian identified this entity as the Shining One, but later was able to identify this entity as Satan: Samael, Lucifer, etc. It was here that Dorian decided to pursue this entity and learn from it, forming a bond with the Great Adversary. In time, as he ventured into the pursuit of occult wisdom, he later met many fellows of the Left-Hand and satanic paths who had encountered the same or very similar visions, leading to a unanimous conclusion that there was something bigger going on. There was a shared, collective gnosis being dispensed among the followers of Satan.

One thing was clear: Our Lord Satan had grown weary with humanity forsaking his true nature, and He spoke thus against it. Now is the era of our Great Church of the Other God, O Temple Vesperitas! May the Vesperian Way reach the ends of the earth!
